Marc McGiveney is a born and bred Rhode Islander who currently resides in the town of South Kingstown.

A father of nine, Marc grew up in East Greenwich  during the 1960’s. He then spent his early adult life running record stores in Wakefield and Newport where he was thoroughly immersed in all genres of music (circa 1978-1988). He later graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1991 with a Bachelors degree in Nursing and spent twelve years as a trauma nurse and another twenty as an educator retiring in 2019. The Monkey man is his first novel of the Monkey Man Chronicles. Book II tentatively titled “Dust in the Wind” should be out around Christmas 2024!

He enjoys traveling, tinkering in the garage and spending time with his family and five grandchildren.
